- 24-hour Emergency Department - The emergency department is staffed 24 hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week with highly trained emergency professionals.
- 24-Hour Surgery - Part of providing quality care is doing it in a timely fashion. Our surgery department services are available anytime, night or day, inpatient or outpatient.
- Intensive Care Unit - ICU offers patients advanced services for a variety of illnesses including arterial monitoring capability, cardiac monitors, in-house dialysis and more.
- Respiratory and Cardiopulmonary Services - Treatments, diagnosis and rehabilitation support services are provided for patients with cardiopulmonary related diseases.
- Physical Therapy - The PT department has registered physical therapists providing supervision of individual inpatient and outpatient programs including pain management, therapeutic exercise for arthritis, CVA, amputees, orthopedic and neurological needs.
- Diagnostic Imaging - With a new MRI Suite and other state-of-the-art equipment such as Ultrasound, C.T. Scan, Echocardiography, Cardiac SPECT Scanning, Fluoroscopy and Mammography, this department fills almost any imaging requirement.
- Nursing Home - Our 88-bed facility, McMinn Memorial Nursing Home & Rehab Center, is attached to Woods Memorial Hospital. The nursing home has access to 24-hour clinicians as well as the other hospital services. The unit also offers speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy as well as counseling.
- Home Health - Comprehensive primary and specialty health care services at home. Servicing McMinn, Meigs, Monroe and Polk Counties, we offer skilled nursing, home health aides, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and social services.

NURSING HOME
McMinn Memorial Nursing Home - Long-term care is provided in a 88-bed dually licensed nursing home for both skilled and intermediate patient adjoining Woods Memorial Hospital. McMinn Memorial has easy access to the 24-hour physician staffed emergency room as well as the other hospital services. With a full-time social worker, activities director and other specialties, McMinn Memorial also offers speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy as well as counseling.
SENIOR CARE
Senior Care - Geriatric patients having trouble coping with day-to-day activities, needing assistance with medication management, and those with the onset of Alzheimer's disease or dementia, can benefit from Woods Memorial's Senior Care program.
EXTERNAL SERVICES
- Woods Home Health Agency - With a staff of highly educated and professional nurses, physical therapist, social workers and others, Woods Memorial is able to provide the best in home care by our caring staff for intermittent, comprehensive care to patients of all ages requiring coordinated supportive care in the home. With this type of care, physicians are able to extend care for their patients outside the hospital setting and into the convenience of patients homes.
- Woods Regional Dialysis Center - The Dialysis center offers treatment for renal patients, and is the only center of its kind in a four-county area with a nephrologist on site daily.
- Woods Multi-Specialty Clinic - Adjacent to the hospital, the Multi-Specialty Clinic provides space for sub-specialists such as cardiologists, oncologist, urologist, and others to see patients locally rather than patients having to make the long drive to Knoxville or Chattanooga.
OTHER SERVICES
- Social Services - The social service department provides a wide range of services in four major areas, including counseling, discharge planning/continuity of care, identification of psychological needs/referrals and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Helicopter Ambulances - In the event a patient needs emergency care at another facility, UT Medical Center at Knoxville or Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga can provide first priority backup from UTs Lifestar helicopter or Erlangers LifeForce helicopter.
- Occupational Health - A service provided to all businesses and industries to promote a healthy workforce and workplace.
- Woods Memorial Auxilary - Volunteers provide many needed services throughout the Hospital and nursing home by staffing the gift shop, dispensing ice and juices to patients in the hospital and residents in the nursing home and providing funds for needed equipment.
