Occupational Health
WorkSTEPS®
Not often can health care providers actually work with organizations to save money. But WorkSTEPS actually can save employers through a variety of methods from lowering Workmans Compensation rates, working with employers to ensure safe work areas by reducing work place injury incidence and other methods.
Implementation of WorkSTEPS has:
- Enabled hundreds of industries to
realize significant work place injury
incidence and injury cost reductions.
- The data generated by the
WorkSTEPS program is fed into a
database of hundreds of thousands
other employees across the country.
- Following completion of the test, the
results are entered into a database
which provides a profile of each
individual employee according to the
physical demand levels of each specific
job.
- The program generates extremely specific comparisons
based on any number of data parameters, and establishes
a baseline medical and functional capabilities of the
employee for comparison to future, post-injury data.
Additional information about the highly successful WorkSTEPS program can be obtained through the Woods Memorial Physical Therapy and Rehab Department at 423-263-3679.
