Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.)

How does Woods Memorial comply with federal regulations?

WOODS MEMORIAL Hospital CORPORATE COMPLIANCE PROGRAM

Woods Memorial Hospital is committed to upholding values of dignity, compassion, respect and integrity, while complying with regulations that influence the healthcare industry.

To help accomplish these commitments, Woods Memorial Hospital has developed and implemented a Corporate Compliance Program designed to prevent fraud and abuse and to uphold the organization's values of service, integrity and respect. This program also ensures that effective internal process and controls are in place to promote adherence to federal and state regulations.

The specific goals of this compliance program are designed to promote prevention of fraud, abuse and waste in healthcare; to encourage early detection and reporting of suspected abuse; to facilitate resolution of compliance issues; and to promote a culture of ethical and legal conduct among the Board of Trustees, staff, physicians, and general public.

As an aid in monitoring compliance, Woods Memorial has established a Compliance Hotline.

Any person who has questions regarding this program may contact the Woods Memorial Hospital Corporate Compliance Officer, Pamela Aderhold, at 423- 263-3656.
